The Story Of State Headquarters Of Two Political Parties
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Jan 2021 5:00 AM GMTIt's quite a contrast on both sides of the Exhibition grounds. While on the south side of the road is the famed Gandhi Bhavan, the right side of the road has the BJP office. There is a stark contrast between the state headquarters of the two parties.
While the Congress office, the Gandhi Bhavan, is wearing a deserted look with not even the state leaders paying an occasional visit, the BjP state office is bustling with activity. Hundreds of party workers flock to the office day in and day out. Major state level party functionaries are occupying their chambers and every day, hundreds of leaders from other parties are coming to join the BJP.
In Gandhibhavan, except for a handful of attendants and one media incharge, there is no activity at all. Even the PCC chief is not paying a visit. These days, even the press meets that the key leaders are addressing, are happening in the residences of the said leaders. Firstly, these residences are closer to the media offices and secondly, no leader of substance wants to address the media is the worn out, jaded Gandhi Bhavan, which is sporting a haunting look these days.
