Several dramatic developments took place in the AP legislative assembly today. Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad have suspended YSRCP MLA Roja from the house for one year. Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu moved a resolution saying that the former actress has used unparliamentary words against the chief minister and the resolution was adopted by house with voice vote.

This is not the first time a leader to get suspension from house such a long time. Previously former TDP MLA, Karanam Balaram was suspended for six months from the house for criticizing the Speaker during the Congress regime.

During YSR Regime, Karanam Balaram was suspended from the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for 6 months on charges of making 'objectionable' remarks against the then Assembly Speaker K. R. Suresh Reddy.

Roja who elected first time from Nagari constituency was known to be very vocal in AP Assembly. Many times she was warned by leaders for using unparliamentarily language in the house. Meanwhile YSRCP members strongly objected to the suspension and said the decision was undemocratic
