A popular Oriya actress is in the eye of the storm over allegations of fleecing a youth to a tune of several lakh rupees. The youth in question, who lodged a complaint with the Vizag police also alleged that she took away his laptop and a gold chain. He also said that the actress promised to marry him.
The youth has lodged a complaint claiming that she has duped him to a tune of Rs 2.7 lakh. He claims that he had met Oriya actress Chinmayee Priyadarshini through a matrimonial site and became close to her. Later, both decided to marry. He also claimed that the actress took money from him on various occasions and when he asked for his money back, she began threatening him. She also alleged mentioned powerful names to threaten him.
The youth also said that she promised him a role in an Odiya film, but could not do that. When he wanted his money back, the actress blocked him on Twitter and unfriended him on the Facebook. The youth identified as Padmaraju Ravikumar, a youth from Vizag, lodged a complaint with the Police in Odisha.
