This civic body changed bank account because of ex-CM's wife

The Thane Municipal Corporation has decided to change its bank account. It is shifting from Axis Bank to some other bank. Why not Axis Bank? That's because former CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis' wife Amrita Fadnavis is an employee in Axis Bank. That the bank was being changed was announced by no less a person than Mayor Naresh Maske himself.
Interestingly, Amrita Fadnavis is a bold and independent thinking woman who differed with her husband many a time in the past. But, despite all this, the Shiv Sena has been gunning for her and a war of words was taking place between Shiv Sena's loudmouth Priyanka Chaturvedi and Amrita on the social media. Even as this war of words is going on, the Thane corporation took this decision. The corporation's decision is coming in for severe criticism from various quarters. Some have even slammed what they call the vindictive attitude of the municipal corporation.
A week ago, Amrita Fadnavis intervened in the Twitter war where her hubby had slammed Rahul Gandhi's comment that he is not Rahul Savarkar. Devendra Fadnavis said no one becomes a Savarkar just by adding a suffix. Supporting her husband, Amrita said "No one becomes a Thackeray just by affixing a suffix. This led to Priyanka Chaturvedi joining the debate.
