This Cricketer Is Caught On The Wrong Foot

Exactly a year ago, former MP and former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin was the unquestioned king of cricket in Hyderabad. His panel had triumphed in the Hyderabad Cricket Association big time and he was the lord of the Cricket in Hyderabad. But, within a year, things have changed.
Now he finds himself all alone with not even his panel members supporting him. His friend and the current HCA general secretary Vijayanand and he are at loggerheads. They both approached the Uppal police with complaint and counter-complaint against one another. A majority of the HCA members are now strongly opposed to Azhar.
The dispute arose over the appointment of retired justice Deepak Varma as the ombudsman and the chairperson of the ethics committee. While Azhar says this was decided at a meeting of the HCA, the other members say that Azhar had acted arbitrarily and did not bother to consult them. There is also dispute over the conditions that led budding cricketer B Sandip to shift to Goan team.
