There seems to be no stopping for Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express at the Box Office. The film rewrote all the existing records to become India's biggest hit ever.
Chennai Express has grossed over Rs 300 crores by now. It is only the fourth film in Rs 300 crore club after 3 Idiots, Ek Tha Tiger and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Total Chennai Express collections in India: Rs 210 crore nett (Till Sunday). Week 1: Rs 156.70 crore; Week 2: Rs 43.85 crore; Week 3: Rs 10 crore.
Chennai Express surpassed previous highest 3 Idiots collections both in India and Overseas to claim the No. 1 spot. Shahrukh Khan's star power and his terrific marketing skills have made this happen. Indian films are soon to cross Rs 500 crore barrier.
