Many Indians mainly pursue medical and pharmacy courses. Luckly, only a few students study in universities that are close to the warzone.
Universities like Bukovinian State Medical University, Danylo Halytsky Lviv Medical University, Kiev Medical University and others are quite popular among the Indian students studying in Ukraine. The students studying in Ukraine are a worried lot and are spending anxious moments in view of the war with Russia.
Here are some guidelines issued by the Indian embassy in Kiev to the Indian students stranded in the war-torn country.
· Do not stir out of the university. The universities are the safest places for the students, especially for those from foreign countries. They are safe, well-furnished and there is a semblance of security.
· Do not venture into the markets and busy places. It is advisable to avoid crowded places. The students are advised not to go out.
· The students are advised to leave their numbers with the Indian embassy in Kiev so that their safety and security could be ensured. The students are also asked to maintain contact with the embassy officials.
· The students have also been advised to keep all their important documents in close proximity. Ensuring the safety and security of the documents is important for the students.
· The students are also asked to keep sufficient stocks of essential commodities, fuel, water and food material enough to last at least 15 days.
· The Indian students are also asked to stay in close proximity so that each other could gather quickly at short notice.
