This MLA Has Got Two Statues of Himself Ready at Home

A Trinamool Congress MLA has got two fibre glass statues of himself ready. Why? To install them if he gets killed by his political rivals. The two statues of the MLA are now kept in his house and the statues were sculpted by two well-known artistes from Kolkata.
Jayanth Naskar (71) is the Trinamool Congress LA from Gosaba constituency in South 24 Paraganas district. He says that he has a threat to his life and that his rivals are out to kill him. The MLA wants the people of his constituency to remember even after his death. So, he has got two statues ready. They would be installed if he is killed. He said that some political leaders are out to kill him and hence the government has provided him with Y category security. He says he has more enemies for him within the TMC than outside.
But, dare we say, a person is remembered by his works and not by his statues. The MLA would do well to work for his people in the constituency and get remembered for the efforts he made to better their lives.
