This MLA Throws Social Distancing To Winds

Despite repeat appeals by the governments to practice social distancing seriously, some politicians seem to believe that these rules do not apply to them. They feel they are above the law. Take the case of this BJP MLA. This MLA, identified as Raja Sinha from Dhanbad in Jharkhand, has publicity and popularity in mind rather than public safety.
On Thursday, he made announcement throughout his constituency that he would distribute food to the poor. As a result, thousands gathered. The social distancing and self-quarantine were thrown to winds. The people pushed, shoved and jostled with each other at the Jharkhand Maidan in Dhanbad. Even the MLA did not follow the corona regulations. He came along with 250 of his relatives to the spot. This has now become a huge controversy as the BJP MLA did not follow any precautions. He did not even wear a mask on the occasion. Jharkhand government and the BjP took a serious view of the MLA flouting rules.
The BJP meanwhile has said that it will collect all details of the programme and based on the reports, the party would take action against him.
