This Political Family In Great Demand These Days?
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 July 2020 9:20 AM ISTOne political family is much in demand these days. That family is that of former Prime Minister and Telugu Bidda PV Narasimha Rao. Suddenly, every party is trying to rope in someone or the other from the PV family into its fold.
This being the centenary year of PV, the TRS stole the Congress thunder by organising huge programmes and by putting out big adverts on media houses. Though a Congressman, PV's legacy is not owned up by the Congress high command. For Sonia Gandhi, PV is an anathema. So, even as the State Congress was in a dilemma, KCR has managed to get PV's daughter Vani Rao on board for its centenary celebrations. She was the star attraction at the PV centenary celebrations and gave several interviews to media houses. Now, the Congress Party wants to celebrate PV's birth centenary. It has roped in PV's close relative PV Manohara Rao to head its reception committee. It will hold zoom meetings to commemorate PV legacy.
Even the BJP too has its own share of PV's relatives. PV's grandson NV Subhash is in the party. He accompanied PV in Delhi while he was the Prime Minister. He is also privy to some very important political developments in those days. So, years after his death, PV still lives on.
