This politico is jobless for the first time in 40 years

He has been in politics for over 40 years. Whether in the ruling party or in the opposition, he has always enjoyed positions of power. He has changed parties like he changed clothes. He began as a CPM activist, joined the TDP, then moved to the Congress and thence to the TRS. As of now he is in the TRS. But he has always held some important post.
But for the first time in his career, he is finding himself jobless. This is a strange situation for Gutta Sukhendar Reddy. His term as the chairperson of the legislative council has ended and there are no chances of an immediate re-election in view of the Covid restrictions. So, he is now confined to home and does not know when the elections would be held for the legislative council and whether he would be re-nominated. He does not know whether he would ever become a minister. Gutta Sukhendar Reddy always wanted to be a minister. But the post has always eluded him.
Now he does not know what to do. In Nalgonda TRS, his political rival and minister Jagadeesh Reddy is ruling the roost. He controls almost every MLA. Gutta cannot visit the constituencies in the district as the MLAs are wary of welcoming him. So, he is now confined to his house. Gutta is now waiting for the Corona to end and KCR to nominate him.
