This Senior BJP Leader Is Facing Uncertain Future

BJP's new national president JP Nadda is now trying to form a new committee and leaders from various states would find place in it. As for Telangana, there are many claimants. For instance, there is lot of uncertainty about what will happen to Muralidhar Rao. He has been the party's general secretary for two terms and if he is not included in the national team this time, his political career would hit a road block. There is a talk that he could be made a Rajya Sabha MP. But, the next Rajya Sabha election is at least two years away. One big problem for Muralidhar Rao is that he has not exactly covered himself in glory during the past few years. There is no achievement worth the name for him.

Both Muralidhar Rao and his supporters are hoping that he would find some place in the national team of the BJP. They expected that he would be made the party state president in Telangana. But, that post has gone to Bandi Sanjay. So, Muralidhar Rao's options are now very limited. If the party does not rehabilitate him, he is certain to walk into the sunset as a politician.
