This Young Girl is example of Hard Work Pays Off

A Young girl who has her heart in cricket had batted against a few odds in her life and successfully got a spot in the cricket team. Her hard work and determination had paid off and she was promoted as the skipper of the team. She is getting applause from across the corners.
Indian origin Geethika Kodali, who hails from Andhra Pradesh had made the country proud by getting a spot in US Women's cricket team. She had done this at the age of 14. Her hard work paid off when she was made the skipper of the inaugural under-19 stage.
Recalling her journey, she said that she has been interested in games since childhood. Geethika said that she met a coach when she went to a relative's house which is a big step in her playing career. After getting trained by the coach, she got a spot in the team at an age of 14.
She used this as a great opportunity and learned a lot of new things and skills from the senior players in the team. When the U-19 segment was introduced in the United States, she was made the captain. Under her captaincy, the US team had played four matches and won three out of them. Currently, the team is preparing for the upcoming Fair Break Tournament which will be played in Dubai.
The young cricketer had credited her success to the help and support she received from her family. To provide more facilities and chances for her to play the game, her family moved to North Carolina from California.
I am thankful for my parents. Mother Madhavi and Father Kodali Prashanth. If not for their support, I would have not reached this point. I would like to make my parents proud of my performance, Geethika Kodali said.
