In a most gruesome incident, three priests have been murdered brutally inside the temple premises. The shocking incident has created a sensation.
The incident took place in the Mandya district of Karnataka where three priests have been killed. The priest trio who sleeps inside the temple as security for the shrine was murdered with stones, reportedly.
The locals who found the victims in a pool of blood with their heads in a crushed stage informed the cops about the sad incident.
The cops arrested the deceased victims as Anand (42), Ganesh (55), and Prakash (60) who work as the priest at the famous Arkeshwara Temple.
The incident took place during the late hours of Thursday night. It is believed that the burglars who looted the donation box in the temple might have killed them.
Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa expressed his shock over the sad incident and ordered an inquiry into the incident.
He announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the family members of the deceased and said that the guilty will not be speared and legal action will be taken against them.
