TDP Leadership contemplated on fielding Former Lok Sabha Speaker GMC Balayogi's Son Harish for Amalapuram Lok Sabha Seat. In the end, The Youngster was offered Amalapuram MLA Ticket.
Chandrababu Naidu denied tickets for Sitting MLAs Anand Rao (Amalapuram), Pulaparthi Narayana Murthy (P Gannavaram) and Varupula Subba Rao (Prathipadu) in East Godavari District citing poor performance in the internal surveys. While Sitting MLA Varupula Subba Rao's Grandson Raja received Prathipadu Ticket, An Advocate's Daughter is the front-runner for P Gannavaram Ticket.
In 2014 Polls, TDP bagged all the MLA Seats, except 5, in Godavari Districts. Once again, The party which wins majority of the seats in East and West will be forming the next government. Expect a triangular fight between TDP, YCP and Jana Sena in these two districts.
