Aftermath, the violent standoff with the Chinese troops at the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh that resulted in 20 soldiers losing their lives, the Indian government banned 59 Chinese Apps including TikTok.

Following this, The Global Times, a state-run media in China published a report which claimed that Bytedance, which is a parental company of TikTok and Helo apps might lose a whopping $6 billion( ₹45k crore) with Indian government banning the apps.

India has the highest number of active users of TikTok as the app has 112 million downloads in India. Another app Helo too enjoys a lion share of users from India.

On Monday, the Indian government banned 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok, SHAREit, UC Browser, Baidu map, Helo, Mi Community, Club Factory, WeChat, and UC News.

All these apps were removed from Google Play Store and Apple Play store leaving the ByteDance company in a huge loss. The other day, TikTok CEO wrote a letter to Indian employees that the company assures the employment of the employees.
