Times Now Poll Says AAP Might Win 54-60 Seats In Delhi
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Feb 2020 6:30 AM GMTAn opinion poll conducted by the Times Now channel on the Delhi Assembly polls revealed that the ruling Aam Aadmi Party might win 54 to 60 seats out of the 70 Assembly seats.
The poll went on to state that AAP, BJP, and Congress might get a vote share of 52 percent, 34 percent, and 4 percent respectively. The opinion poll also predicted that the BJP and Congress might win 10-14 and 0-2 MLA seats respectively.
One factor which is creating tension for the AAP is that the 71 percent of the participants of the poll extended support to the controversion Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA), which grants the Indian citizenship for the non-muslim minorities from the neighboring countries Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan which are Muslim-majority nations.
The survey even stated that around 51 percent of the Delhi people strongly believe that the Shaheen Bagh protests opposing the CAA are unjustified.
One point which gives fresh energy to the AAP is that the disagreement of the poll participants on the Shaheen Bagh protest might not turn out into the vote bank for the saffron party as many Delhiites are with the AAP party for the innovative schemes and governance initiatives.
According to the opinion poll, unemployment is a huge factor for 47 percent of the respondents. On this point, 47 percent of respondents have in faith with the AAP while 37 percent trust the BJP.
