Being too Particular On Procedures Cost LV Subramanyam His Post?
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 July 2022 6:01 AM GMTLV Subrahmanyam is the former Chief Secretary of divided Andhra Pradesh, who was later sacked from the position due to various reasons. Sadly he had rendered his services as the Chief Secretary for just a few months. After he was removed as the CS, he was made the DG of the Human Resources Department.
The ex-Chief Secretary follows a simple rule that the officials should follow the rules and no one should surpass this. While serving and after losing the position as well, LV Subrahmanyam is saying the same.Going by the same style, he yet again endorsed the same.
In his recent interview to a leading news channel, LV Subrahmanyam shed light on various things and issues pertaining to his career and why he thinks that the officials should follow the rules and guidelines.
Talking about his stint at the Chief Minister Office, the ex-bureaucratic said he had noticed one thing that a junior IAS officer was working in a way that he wouldn't bring the files to his notice.
Though many of them had an idea about the junior IAS officer he was talking about, LV Subrahmanyam did not take the name of his junior.
His comments raised a new doubt on whether LV is trying to blame the issues he had with his junior for losing the plum post. During his interview, LV highlighted how his junior functioned without following the instructions of the senior officials.
LV also shared the narrative on his take on note files and how it got not-to-good response from others including the Chief Minister. According to chief secretary LV Subrahmanyam, he even asked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy if he could make the Ministers understand the procedure of writing the note files and Jagan turned down the proposal.
LV Subrahmanyam said how he likes a senior official and he would draw inspiration from him who never shies away from following the procedure no matter what. Looks like, being particular about the due procedure did not work for him. His junior officer not following the procedure also made him serve a notice. Cut to a few weeks later, he lost his job.
Highlighting the importance of the officials following the rules though they work under the Chief Minister, LV Subrahmanyam quoted the example of how IAS officers were asked by the High Court to do some service.
