To Propogate Sanathana Dharma, TTD decided to build 500 temples
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Feb 2021 12:28 PM GMTThe independent trust Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) which manages the Holy shrine of Lord Venkateswara has announced that the trust will construct 500 temples across the two Telugu states.
The decision was taken at a review meeting that was held in Temple city on Wednesday. The officials of the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad were also present at the meeting.
Speaking to the media, TTD EO Dr. K S Jawahar Reddy said, 100 crore funds were allocated to construct 100 temples across the two states. Rs 10 lakh was allocated for each temple.
Adding further, the EO said the main agenda behind this is to propagate the Hindu Sanathana Dharma, which will be done in collaboration with Samarasatha Seva Foundation and Samskrithi Samvardhi.
He went on to say that, Srinivasa Kalyana Mandaps will also be set up in all these proposed 1,000 temples. An action plan for the Kalyana Mandaps is underway.
On the other hand, the EO has also directed the concerned officials to focus on training the priests in order to make them the community priests. Bhakti books will be given to the devotees at these temples for free of cost.
