Tollywood Celebs Reaction On AP Disha Act

YSR Congress Government passed AP Disha Act aimed at awarding capital punishment to those guilty of committing heinous crimes against Women. Trial in such cases will be completed within 21 days of committing the crime. Special Courts will be constituted in every district for trails of crimes against Women and Children.
Before the AP Disha Act was passed unanimously in Assembly, CM Jagan has rightly termed it as a revolutionary step. Several Tollywood Celebs have come out in open for appreciating the gutsy move of the Young CM.
Krishnam Raju: 'I believe Disha Act will bring down the crimes against Women. Punishing the culprits in just 21 days is a good sign. Felt happy when Disha Case Accused were killed in encounter. The person who leads his life with self-respect and dignity won't even think about committing any crimes'.
Venkatesh: 'Don't know if Disha Act will reduce crime rate but decision on such heinous crimes must be taken at a quick pace. Passing such a Bill is a necessity in the current situation. This Government has taken a right decision and I appreciate it. Everyone needs to think about how women should be respected and make them feel safe.'
Jayasudha: 'Disha Act is like a New Year Gift. Jagan issued a challenge to all those having criminal mindset with this Bill. There was a feeling among Indians that they can get away upon committing crimes. Disha Act which guarantees Punishment in 21 days made me feel happy. Many Chief Ministers wished to take such tough decisions but they couldn't. Every state should have a CM like YS Jaganmohan Reddy'.
Puri Jagannath: 'Disha Act introduced by AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy is too good and very necessary. Such an Act much be implemented all over the country. Punishment for the Convicts must be on par with the crimes they commit. 90 percent of rapes happen under the influence of alcohol. Had to applaud CM Jagan for trying to implement liquor prohibition by sacrificing a lot of revenue. In the countries where more women feel shy, Maximum rapes were happening and that's a fact. Why because, Men take advantage of Women who feel shy. Men feel scared to rape strong Women. Parent of girl child need to realize it and groom his/her daughter to help her become a fearless lady'.
Naga Chaitanya: 'So much debate on such matters is of no use..decision making has to be fast. When matters like GST were decided at a quick pace, what's the point in delaying decisions on crimes against women? Appreciate AP Government for bringing such an Act'.
