Corona Effect: Tollywood Comes To A Grinding Halt

With the government issuing a host of instructions to prevent the spread of the deadly virus, the film industry has decided to stop all shootings in the two Telugu states.
On Sunday, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and MAA held a joint meeting where the decision to halt the shoots was taken. Starting Monday, the film industry would come to a standstill. Already, the theatres and multiplexes have been closed until March 31. The Film Chamber and the MAA said that they would re-begin the shoots only after the government allows them. This decision was taken to ensure that the Corona virus does not spread in the state. Already, all the shoots in Bollywood have been cncelled in view of the medical emergency. The Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association too has announced that no shoots will take place till March 31.
The shooting of the cinema, TV serials and web serieses would go on as usual after March 31.
