The sensational Tollywood drugs case is making some noise at regular intervals keeping the flame burning. Earlier last week, the Enforcement Directorate had knocked on the doors of the Telangana High Court alleging that there is no support from the state excise department in this regard. A contempt of court petition was filed by the ED.

Now the issue went through another twist with the excise department filing a memo in the High court. The department told the court that it had handed over all the information and evidence it has and it is cooperating with the ED in the case.

With the crucial information falling into its hand, the ED officials are said to be going through a flood of evidence and information, and based on the same the celebrities might face questions from the concerned officials.

It has to be mentioned here that the ED had stepped into the case to see if there is any money laundering angle. The department had this doubt with a drug dealer reportedly saying that the drugs have reached here from other places.

Earlier, the Telangana Excise Department had probed the matter and gave a clean chit to the celebrities. In its affidavit filed in the court, the department said the same saying that no evidence was found to prove the wrongdoings.

The accused in the case include several big names like Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Charmme Kaur, Mumaith Khan, Puri Jagannadh, Shyam K Naidu, Subbaraju, Tanish, and others.
