Telangana Government constituted a High-Level Committee to address issues like Casting Couch, Harassment at Work Place and Coordinators System. Film Development Corporation Ram Mohan Rao will head the Panel. The committee comprises of Producers and MAA Representatives as its members. This committee will submit a report to the State Government within 10 days.
Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav held a high-level meeting with Cops, Labour Department Officials, Tollywood JAC and MAA at the Telangana Secretariat Today evening. Post the meeting, He appealed Women who are facing any kind of harassment at work place to approach the cops.
Talasani assured Identity Cards would be offered to Film Artists through Film Development Corporation. He promised to revamp the Film Institutes and end the Coordinators System by depositing the wages into the bank accounts directly from Manager's account.
On the sexual abuse, Talasani informed a Special Cell will be opened at FDC for addressing such cases. He also assured CASH Committee formed by Film Industry will also focus on the issue. Lastly, The Minister appealed Film Industry and Media to put an end of the controversy that's been continuing since few weeks.
