The Panchayat elections in Andhra Pradesh is about the end. The fourth and last phase of elections on the 21st of February, two days from now. Following this, the concerned authorities are busy making the required arrangements.
A mistake in the voter ID details of a woman voter in the Kurnool district has surprised everyone. Kurnool District Collector, district election officer G. Veerapandian was serious about the mistake.
Going into detail, woman voter K Rani (20), has enrolled herself in the voters' list with the authorities. She belongs to the 31st ward in Kurnool city. But she was surprised to see the picture on her voter ID.
The Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) officials have affixed Tollywood senior hero Daggubati Venkatesh's picture on the voter ID instead of her picture. The voter ID went viral on social media.
District Collector G Veerapandian has directed the Kurnool RDO, Kalluru Tahasildar to investigate the issue and submit a detailed report. The Collector has also directed the authorities to take action against the voter list In-charge BLO for the 31st ward.
In another incident, a dog's photo appeared in the voters' list in the place of the voter, Banni Gara (19) belonging to the 12th division. She had to again reach to the authorities to see that her picture features on her voter ID.
