Latest buzz is that Trisha's fiance Varun Manian who has interests in real estate and cinema is likely to buy IPL Franchise Chennai Super Kings from India Cements owned by former BCCI Chief N Srinivas.
As per the Supreme Court order, N Srinivas has to choose between BCCI and CSK. That means if he wishes to retain his position as BCCI Chief by contenting the elections, He has to disown Chennai Super Kings.
Reportedly, Varun Manian have close connections with N Srinivasan and his family. Mr. Srinivasan was also seen using Varun's charter flight on many occasions in the past. So, The deal could materialise.
Sources say, Chennai-based Tyre company MRF is also in race to own Chennai Super Kings.
