Tough times ahead for Tollywood

The statehood issue has become the biggest worry for Tollywood since the past four years. Filmmakers weren't sure if their film will be running smoothly even if the content clicks with the audience due to the bandh calls of the pro-Telangana parties and United AP leaders. If the decision is in favor of Telangana, Agitations in Andhra and Rayalseema would intensify. We are already accustomed to developments if the the declaration is against Telangana.
Films like Yevadu and Atharintiki Daredi aren't the only ones to face the heat of the movements. This situation would affect the bunch of big budgeted Telugu films which been getting ready for release in the coming months.
The cost of production of Telugu films have increased rapidly over the years. Now, a big project costs nothing short of Rs 40 crore. The revenue of first two weeks is very crucial for any film. Any disturbances during this period would adversely affect the collections of the movie. So, Producers weren't ready to release until the people of both the regions gets pacified.
