The election of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee is turning out to be a never ending saga. The High Command is unable to decide on the next PCC chief due to the pressures and pulls from the party leaders Though highly placed sources said that it had already decided on a young candidate, the high command is now trying to convince the other leaders to accept him.

Party insiders say that the names of both Revanth Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy are being heard in the high command circles. Komatireddy had already met Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday and pleaded his case. If sources are to be believed, Revanth Reddy, another strong contender, is set to meet her on Thursday.

Meanwhile, young leaders like Turpu Jagga Reddy and Diddilla Sridhar Babu are also strongly lobbying for the PCC chief's post. In another development, several key senior leaders have left for New Delhi to meet the high command. They are demanding that anyone else except Revanth Reddy be appointed as the PCC chief. They have threatened to leave the party if Revanth is made the PCC chief. The high command is unable to take any decision on the issue as of now. As a result, the whole process is getting delayed inordinately.
