Traffic Department Urges to avail the discount before it ends!
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 March 2022 10:19 AM GMTThe emergence of digital technology made the work of the traffic department a bit easier. With the digital cameras, they can click a picture of the traffic violators, and later they have to clear the challans. As a result, lakhs and crores of challans are pending in the Hyderabad limits.
Seeing this, the Hyderabad Traffic Department had made a big announcement that those who pay the challans between March 1-31 will get a massive discount on the challans. The response to the initiative has been terrific as of now and more than 40 percent of challans have been cleared.
As the ending date of the discounts for the challans is fast approaching, a doubt of whether the Department will extend the payment date has popped up.
The Traffic Department had made it clear that there is no question of extending the date and the discount ends at the month-end.
Having said that, the Traffic Department Officials said that from April, no such concession will be given and the commuters who violate the rules will have to face a charge sheet and a fine will be imposed in a big way. Based on the level of violation, there are high chances for the vehicles to get seized, the officials reportedly said.
