Tragedy Strikes: 5 Students die,2 injured in Mishap in abroad

They were on a trip reportedly which turned tragic. While five students have passed away in the incident, two more students have sustained serious injuries.
The sad incident took place in Toronto, Canada. While the students were traveling to the west, the mishap took place claiming five lives. The two students who were injured seriously reportedly were rushed to the nearby hospital for medical assistance.
Going by the information that was shared by the local Canadian media, the mishap happened on a highway in Ontario when the van carrying the students collided with a tractor. As a result, a few lives were lost and two victims sustained injuries.
The victims who breathed their last were under the age group of 25. Reports say that the victims were identified as Harpreet Singh, Jaspinder Singh, Karanpal Singh, Mohit Chouhan, and Pawan Kumar who were 24, 21, 22, 23, and 23 respectively. All the victims are students who are pursuing their education.
The media reports said that the concerned authorities had maintained that they cannot comment on the incident immediately as the process is underway. The injured victims are undergoing treatment.
On the other hand, the Consulate General of India, Toronto assured its help for the families of the deceased. The Ministry of External Affairs had shared the sad news and said that it is sharing the news with pain and sadness.
"Heart-breaking tragedy in Canada: 5 Indian students passed away in an auto accident near Toronto on Saturday. Two others in the hospital. Deepest condolences to the families of the victims. @IndiainToronto team in touch with friends of the victims for assistance," Ajay Bisaria, India’s High Commissioner to Canada said in his tweet.
Retweeting the tweet, Minister of External Affairs of India Jaishankar had mourned the death of the young minds in Canada. Condoling the death of five students, the Minister also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured victims. Condolences are being poured for the victims on various social media platforms.
