Why Transgenders demanded apology from Khushbu?

Congress national spokesperson Khushbu Sundar is known to be an out spoken person. She yet again invites trouble by issuing a statement that transgenders have been aiming & grabbing big roles in politics inspite of not really working hard to deserve them.
As expected, Khushbu's statement didn't go down well with the transgender community. A dharna was staged in front of Tamil Nadu Congress headquarters Sathyamurthi Bhavan in Chennai demanding an unconditional apology from the actress-turned-politician.
A Member of the Transgender Community told, 'We face discrimination since the day we are born. Its not necessary to join a party to be aware of issues in the society. Our experiences are more than enough to understand the ground reality and situation at the grass roots level. That makes us eligible to take up any party post.'
Khushbu's remarks will prove costly for DMK-Congress alliance ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls. Will she succumb to the pressure and issue an apology?
