Tripura CM Biplab Deb made headlines for all the wrong reasons again. Days after facing criticism for saying Internet existed even in the days of Mahabharata, He declared Diana Hayden, who is the former Miss World, doesn't represent Indian Beauty.
Biplab Dev didn't mind saying Miss World and Miss Universe titles were awarded to Indian Women five years in a row as part of marketing strategy. According to him, Only Aishwarya Rai is the representative of Indian Beauty & she alone was a deserving winner.
The First-Time CM dared to declare Diana Hayden, who doesn't look like Goddesses Lakshmi and Saraswati, doesn't deserve to be Miss World. He described Beauty Pageant Organisers as International Marketing Mafia which is trying to capture a market of Rs 125 crore Indians.
Though PM Narendra Modi advised party leaders not to speak in an irresponsible manner, BJP CMs, MPs, Ministers and MLAs kept making controversial comments. The reputation of the saffron party is getting damaged nationwide because of such unnecessary statements.
