Trouble at home for BJP's former MP Gaddam Vivek
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Jun 2021 7:06 AM GMTEven as former MP Gaddam Vivek Venkat Swamy is trying to emerge as the kingpin in Telangana, there are attempts on to undercut his influence in the BJP. A recent meet in Peddapalli Lok Sabha constituency of the BJP biggies is an indication of this attempt. The meet was held to discuss the future of the BJP in North Telangana and the leaders did not invite Vivek Venkata Swamy, who represented Paddapalli as its MP several times.
The meeting was held in senior BJP leader Malla Reddy's residence in Mancherial. Key leaders like former minister Boda Janardhan, former MLAs Somarapu Satyanarayana and Gujjula Ramakrishna Reddy, party incharges for Ramagunam, Bellampalli, Manthani and Dharmapuri were present at the meeting. Though the meeting was held to discuss the prospects of the BJP in the coal-belt, BJP's MP candidate and former MP G Vivek was nether informed nor invited to the meet. Sources said that these leaders were unhappy with Vivek as he has not been consulting them. They claim that Etela has not only ignored them, but is also creating a new cadre as a counterfoil to them.
These leaders have alleged that Vivek is not even informing them when touring their respective constituencies. They also feel that he is working for his individual advancement and not for the development of the party. They are also reportedly planning to file a written complaint to the party state leadership. So, some trouble for Vivek. Let's see how he handles this.
