Trouble Brewing For Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Trouble is brewing for the BJP in Madhya Pradesh, where there would soon be bypolls to the 22 MLA seats would be held. In all these seats, victorious MLAs, belonging to the Jyotiraditya Scindia group, have resigned to ensure the fall of Congress government. They and their leader Scindia have since joined the BJP. They are now being fielded by the BJP again.
However, not all are happy with this decision to field Scindia supporters. Former MP and dalit leader Prem Chand Guddu has strongly voiced his opposition to the fielding of water resources minister Tulsi Silavat. Both are Dalit leaders. While Guddu joined the BJP ahead of the 2014 elections after the Congress party denied him a ticket, Tulsi Silawat joined the BJP only recently along with Jyotiraditya Scindia. Similar protests are rocking the other constituencies too.
In order to quell dissent, the BJP has already served a showcause notice to Guddu. The buzz is that Guddu is likely to fight the election from the same seat as a Congress candidate.
