Trouble In Another Political Family
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 April 2019 1:15 PM GMTIt seems all political families are facing internal trouble. They appear to be spending more time fighting internal battles than external. The DMK's first family has too many power centres and each is fighting against one another. Stalin's elder brother Alagiri is completely estranged from the family. Ditto with Chandrababu family. His family members are in different parties like theTDP and the YSRCP and not all of them are backing the TDP. Some like Harikrishna's family members are keeping aloof from politics.
The latest family feud to hit politics is that of Sharad Pawar's family. Sharad Pawar's nephew and former deputy CM Ajit Pawar is a power centre. His son Parth Pawar is Nationalist Congress Party's candidate from Maval constituency. Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule is an MP from Baramati and is fighting the election again. She is the aunt of Parth. Meanwhile Sharad Pawar's elder brother Appa Saheb Paar's grandson Rohit Pawar is a member of Pune Zilla Parishad.
Sources say that there are deep differences between Supriya and Parth. The latter is said to be at loggerheads with Rohit also. With the entry of these many people from one family, there is disquiet in the NCP. To ensure that the discontent does not get out of hand, Sharad Pawar has decided not to contest this time. Pawar does not want Parth to be in politics, but can do little about it. So, he opted out of the contest this time.
