Trouble in Madhya Pradesh Congress Government
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 March 2020 6:23 AM GMTIt's crisis time for the precariously placed Congress Government in Madhya Pradesh. The Government, which has a wafer thin majority in the assembly and hangs by a slender thread, was shocked when eight MLAS suddenly disappeared and materialised later in a hotel in Gurugram in the national capital region.
Among these 8 MLAs are four from the Congress, two BSP MLAs, one from Samajwadi Party and an independent. All these MLAs were found in a luxury hotel in Gurugram. A shocked Congress accused the BJP of trying topple the Congress Government in Madhya Pradesh. It said that the BJP had kidnapped and confined them in the hotel. Moments later, the Congress claimed that it has managed to "rescue" six of the eight MLAs from the "clutches of the BJP." Senior Congress MLA and son of Digvijay Singh, Jaivardhan Singh, alleged that BJP leader Narottam Mishra was also found in the same hotel. He said the plan was hatched by former CM Shivraj Singh Chowhan, Narottam Mishra, Bhupendra Singh and Ramgopal Singh.
The Congress Government in Madhya Pradesh has been facing problems due to the rift between Chief Minister Kamal Nath and senior Congress leader from Guna Jyotiraditya Scindia. Scindia as been sulking as he has not been given the PCC chief post.
