TRS Has Another Headache In Twin Cities
X
After the GHMC defeat, the ruiing TRS has another major challenge to face in the twin cities. It's the cantonment board elections. In fact, the term of the present cantonment board has expired on February last year. Yet the government has extended its term by six months each for two times. Now, it is not possible to give another extension. So, the elections have to be held sooner than later.

The biggest problem for the TRS is that most of its current members are queuing up for the BJP. Some have already left the TRS to join the BjP, while yet others are waiting for the right opportunity. Vice president of the Cantonment Board J Ramakrishna has already left the TRS and joined the BJP. Former vice-president Bhanuka Narmada and her husband Mallikarjun too have joined the BJP. Another senior TRS leader Banala Srinivas Reddy has also joined the BJP recently. In fact, Ramakrishna has announced that three more members of the Cantonment Board will soon join the BJP.

As a result, the TRS leadership is unable to trust any leader in view of the rumours of floor crossing. They are unable to decide on their candidates and there is confusion all around. The party is now waiting for few more days to know who will remain in the party and who will leave.
