TRS MPs protest against Modi government in parliament

Telangana MPs staged a protest on Wednesday demanding the immediate release of funds and GST dues to Telangana. Adjournment Motions were also presented in the House. To this extent, placards were displayed and slogans were raised. They also demanded the immediate release of other funds owed by the Center to the state.
Four days ago, Chief Minister KCR wrote a letter to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman demanding the immediate release of the share of tax due to the state. The letter stated that the total amount of tax due from the Center to other states including GST would be Rs 4,531 crore. In the letter, CM KCR asked for the release of tax share to the state as announced in the Union Budget
