Its TRS vs TRS in Kollapur
X
Kollapur assembly constituency is one-of-a-kind constituency. Here, there's no opposition to the TRS. But, the opposition to the TRS is none but the TRS itself. The TRS is so deeply divided in Kollapur between former minister Jupally Krishna Rao and sitting MLA Harshavardhan Reddy that it has become a huge headache for the TRS top brass.

Jupally has time and again showed his strength by getting his supporters elected to the panchayat, municipal and cooperative societies elections defeating Harshavardhan Reddy's nominees. While Jupally has been with the TRS since 2010, Harshavardhan Reddy joined the party after defeating Jupally. He left his party Congress and joined the TRS. Since then, a battle of supremacy is on between the two.

Recently, the party wanted tractor rallies to be organized in support of some key party decisions. Barely two days before the actual rally, Jupally organized his own rally. This rally has taken the sheen off of the official rally. Similarly, Reddy has ordered that all illegal wine shops be closed in the Somasila area. The very next day, Krishna Rao went there and stood in support of the wine sellers.

With friends like this, does one need an enemy? The party leadership appears to be at loss on how to tackle these differences among the two leaders.
