By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Nov 2022 1:14 PM GMTThe Munugode bypoll which went through many twists and turns ended in ruling TRS's favour. In a tough fight, TRS candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy won the election by crushing Bharatiya Janata Party’s Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy. From round one, the fight was between the two leaders, and Prabhakar Reddy eventually won the election.
TRS is in full josh with the new victory as the election result came before Chief Minister KCR’s entry into national politics. Now the ruling party in the state will bank on the election victory and project itself as a tough competitor to the mighty BJP like how West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee did post the general elections.
Reports say that the ruling party candidate won the elections with a big margin of Rs 11,666 votes. The election win will boost the party's fighting spirit. With this, the party might aggressively fight the saffron party that it won against all the odds.
TRS and BJP gave their best shots in the campaign with the top leaders from both parties aggressively campaigning. From TRS, Chief Minister KCR addressed a big gathering and sought public support.
On the other hand, the grand old Congress party faced a humiliating defeat as the party’s candidate Palvai Sravanthi Reddy failed to get even a deposit. In the high-voltage election, Congress lost its spot.
