By: Tupaki Desk | 19 Oct 2018 8:16 AM GMTTrump Administration got ready to stun Indian IT Professionals & Software Firms yet again. Major changes to the H-1B Visa Policy will be proposed with the Bill to be introduced in January 2019.
US Government is going to revise & redefine the speciality occupation under H-1B Visa. The plan is to revise the definition of Employment and Employer-Employee relationship in the best interest of US Workers. This move is gonna adversely affect the Indian IT Firms in the US.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) hinted a proposal to scrap certain H-4 Visas, which are issued to either Spouse of H-1B Visa Holder or their Children under 21-Years of age. In addition, New guidelines will be proposed to ensure Employers pay appropriate wages to the H-1B Holders.
Proposed new policy could have an negative impact on the Small/Medium-sized contractual IT Companies owned by Indian-Americans.
