US Immigration Policy 'UNFAIR': Trump

US President Donald Trump admitted that the existing Immigration Policy which forces people who came to US legally wait for years to obtain Green Card is unfair. 'Our immigration policy, laughed at all over the world, is very unfair to all of those people who have gone through the system legally and are waiting on line for years! Immigration must be based on merit - we need people who will help to 'Make America Great Again,' he commented.
As per the seven percent per country quota, Many Indians will have to wait for not less than 70 to 100 years to be recognized as a permanent citizen in US. This is why many Indian-Americans have given up hope on Green Cards.
Trump's Comments were in support of highly-skilled Indians who had come to US on H-1B Visa but were made to wait for decades for Permanent Citizenship. US Congress hasn't be able to abolish the 7-percent limit though Republicans and Democrats have opposed it.
Merit-based Immigration Policy proposed by Donald Trump will eventually benefit Indian IT Professionals a lot. Trump held Democrats responsible for the broken Immigration System and demanded them to fix the laws. He claimed to be doing a far better job than former Presidents Bush and Obama.
