The situation of Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation became problematic without proper capital. On top of this, the revenue was in deficit. Things have changed rapidly for Andhra Pradesh and the situation has reached a point where the government is in constant search of loans. A few assets were mortgaged by the government already.

Adding more troubles to the Andhra Pradesh state, the government received a letter demanding the transfer of funds of employees of Telangana that is lying with Andhra Pradesh.

Media reports say that the letter demanding the transfer of money to a tune of Rs 2,900 crore was written by the Telangana TRANSCO and GENCO employees JAC to the TRANSCO CMD Prabhakar Rao requesting his help in getting the funds back.

Demanding the transfer of money, the JAC leaders urged the Andhra Pradesh government to address the issue at the earliest and warned that they have to face the consequences if their demand is not addressed.

Looking at the issue, the employees of TRANSCO and GENCO employees have saved money they get under various provisions like Gratuity, pension, and others. The money saved for five years by the employees accounts for around Rs 2,900 crore.

As the funds are under the control of a non-banking financial corporation in Andhra Pradesh, reports say that the government wants to use the funds. Knowing this, the employees who saved the money were in a tense state and have written letters demanding the transfer of their funds.
