TS gets 133 and AP 161 IAS officers

The Union Home Ministry has successfully completed the process of allocation of IAS cadre officers among two States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. While Telangana State got 133 IAS officials, its AP counterpart was allotted 161 officials.
Coming to IPS As many as 95 officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) have been given Telangana cadre and 116 have got Andhra Pradesh. Similarly, 58 officers of Indian Forest Service (IFS) have got Telangana and 69 AP cadre, A gazette notification issued by the Centre said.
The allocation of the three all India services officers is based upon the recommendations of a six-member committee led by former Central Vigilance Commissioner Pratyush Sinha.
During a high-level meeting, the Union Home Ministry has given a green signal to Prathyush Sinha CommitteeÂ’s report on the allocation of officials.Earlier, Andhra Pradesh had a total authorised strength of 376 IAS, 258 IPS and 149 IFS officers.
