Citing the examples of other states that have decided to close the educational institutions in view of the Coronavirus infections surge, the Education Minister urged the people to cooperate with the government to fight the pandemic.

"The government took a call in this regard after the parents expressed their concerns over the rising infections in the state. Taking their concerns into consideration the government announced a temporary closure of the educational institutions", she said.

As per the information shared by the Telangana Health Ministry, the state added not less than 412 fresh infections in the past 24 hours, which takes the total toll of the infections to 3,03,867. So far 1,674 people have lost their lives to the pandemic.
