TS Govt Calls For CID Probe Into Srisailam Fire Accident
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 Aug 2020 1:19 PM GMTThe Telangana government led by Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao called for a detailed probe by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in regard to the fire accident that took place at the Srisailam Left Bank Power House.
CID Additional DGP Govind Singh has been appointed as the investigating officer to overlook the investigation process and the team will submit detailed reports after investigation.
CM KCR termed the sad incident as unfortunate and expressed his grief for nine people losing their lives in the fire accident that took place in the Srisailam powerhouse.
Sadly, all nine people who were trapped under the hydroelectric plant at Srisailam powerhouse that falls under Telangana state lost their lives, including three assistant engineers.
When the fire mishap took place as many as 30 people were present at the Powerhouse and 15 people managed to get out of the powerhouse and six employees were rescued by the National Disaster Response Force(NDRF) personnel.
