TS Govt ropes Gautham Menon, Rahman for special Bathukamma Song

Bathukamma is one of the famous and popular festivals in Telangana. The nine-day-long celebration is to offer prayers to Goddess Parvati to seek her blessings for the harvest of the crop. The floral festival that falls during the Dussehra time is celebrated in a grand year every year.
The upcoming Bathukamma festival will be celebrated in a grander way than the previous years as the Telangana government had roped in big names like celebrated director Gautham Vasudev Menon and AR Rahman. The special song shot at the Ramoji Film City was directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
The team called it wraps for the special Bathukamma song. Oscar Awardee AR Rahman is scoring music for the song. Ever since the announcement of the special song was made, the Telangana people have been waiting for the song to release. However, the release date is unknown.
"A moment of pride for all the Bathukamma festive admirers. Oscar winning musician AR Rahman and filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has worked for the most celebrating Bathukamma song," BA Raju's Team tweeted the other day.
Former MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who has been organising the Bathukamma festival over the years under her NGO Telangana Jagruthi, is said to be instrumental in bringing Rahman and Gautham Vasudev Menon for the special song.
