The amount of damage from the mistakes in other fields would be minimal, whereas the mistakes made by the doctors would result in a bigger damage. In some cases, the mistakes would also be fatal. So doctors have to be careful and alert about what they do. But a private doctor in Hyderabad behaved in a contrary way and his actions made the Telangana State Medical Council angry at him at took serious action. Let us go into the details.

One Karan M. Patil is an Orthopedician from ECIL in Hyderabad. A patient has a problem in his left leg and had to be operated on. But instead of the left leg, the right leg of the patient was operated on. The doctor released his mistake after two days and operated on the left leg again. So the victim approached the District Medical and Health Office and complained against the doctor.

The committee that was set up to look into the matter found fault with the doctor and confirmed his mistake. The Telangana State Medical Council took this matter seriously. The body suspended the medical degree of Doctor Karan M. Patil for six months. Directives were also issued on the same. The doctor was also directed to submit his degree.

In another instance, a patient passed away with the negligence of a doctor. This happened in Manchiryal. A doctor name Srikanth did this. A person was infected with Dengue fever. But the doctor did not refer him to a big hospital for better treatment. With this, he passed away while undergoing treatment. This issue raised many eyeballs. The patient's family members complained against him to the concerned District Collector and an inquiry was called into this.

The doctor's negligence was found in the inquiry. Based on the report received from the district collector, the State Medical Council swung into action and started an inquiry. His recognition as the doctor was suspended for three months. However, the two doctors were allowed to go for appeal against the orders. We have to say that these actions would make doctors fear the consequences of wrong decisions.
