TS:Tension Grips Bodhan with Bandh Over Shivaji Maharaj Statue!

Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena are former allies and both parties are now rivals and they don't leave any chance to target others. However, despite this, both parties have one thing in common, which is their admiration and worship towards legendary Maratha Emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
As the Maratha emperor was a great icon for Hindus and those who believe in Hinduism, BJP, Shiv Sena, and Hindu Vahini had joined hands to set up a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Telangana’s Bodhan. However, the event turned violent when the event had to be stopped after stones were allegedly pelted. The incident happened on Sunday.
Unhappy with what had happened at the event on Sunday, a call for a bandh was given by BJP, Shiv Sena, and Hindu Vahini. In the wake of the bandh, the Police Department had swung into action to see that no unwanted scenes take place in Bodhan.
Police personnel in large numbers were deployed and the Police had warned that those who want to create issues for the people will not be spared and action would be taken against them. The cops are also seeing that the public will not gather in big numbers.
Tension gripped the Bodhan area on Sunday when the supporters of TRS and AIMIM reached the spot and raised a few objections. Alleging that there is proper permission to set up the statue here, they demanded that the event should be stopped. The argument had started into a war of words soon and the cops stepped in right away to clear the crowds.
The Telangana wing of BJP had condemned the issue and asked what’s the issue if they want to set up the statue as they have the required permission from the municipal corporation and the proposal was also approved by the civic body.
On the other hand, Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind raised his objections on the issue. In a tweet, he asked why the statue inauguration was not allowed despite having permission and why an illegal mosque construction was permitted.
"On one hand the Police & the dist administration oppose the installation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue in Bodhan. And on the other, the same people peacefully allow the construction of an illegal structure called "Mosque".Heights of M appeasement!" the BJP MP said in his tweet.
