By: Tupaki Desk | 13 March 2020 8:11 AM GMTThe deadly coronavirus has been troubling Bahrain with four people testing positive for COVID-19 which includes two nurses from Kerala. While the two others hail from the northern part of India. The nurse duo hails from Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram respectively.
They have been admitted to the isolation wards at the Salmaniya Medical Hospital in Manama. Both the nurses work at a private hospital in Manama and it is believed that they caught the virus from an Iranian patient.
"He (the Iranian) had come to our clinic after surgery. After he was discharged, he was tested positive for coronavirus infection," the nurse who hails from Kasaragod said.
"All the staff of the clinic were screened though none of us showed any symptoms. After the screening, five staffers of the clinic tested positive, she added.
Blood samples of the Kasaragod nurse's husband and daughter were also sent for medical examinations just to make sure that the virus won't spread further. The medical reports of them are awaited.
