Pune and Rajkot are the two IPL Franchises approved for playing the next two editions of the cash-rich tournament. While Sanjeev Goenka's New Rising won the bid for Pune Franchise, Intex Mobiles bagged the ownership of Rajkot Franchise.

As per rules, The team which places the lowest bid gets the preference in picking up the first player of their choice in the auction. For sure, That particular franchise will aim for the man with the midas touch Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

It is known that Supreme Court appointed panel has imposed a 2 years ban on IPL Franchises Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for alleged role in spot fixing and betting scandal. As a result, BCCI replaced them with Pune and Rajkot teams for the next two editions. Top 10 Players of CSK & Rajasthan Royals will go for auction on December 15th. Star Players like Brendon McCullum, Ajinkya Rahane, Shane Watson, R Ashwin and Ravinder Jadeja might be available for auction. While the first cap player will be paid Rs 12.5 crore, the remaining four capped players will receive Rs 9.5 crore, Rs 7.5 crore, Rs 5.5 crore and Rs 4 crore.
